In the afternoon of August 21st, a traffic accident occurred on Trierer Street, Mechernich-Vussem, involving a teenage cyclist from Mechernich and an elderly motorcyclist from Nettersheim at approximately 1:30 PM.

On a sunny afternoon of August 21st, a collision between a cyclist and a motorcyclist took place on Trierer Straße in Mechernich-Vussem.

The 17-year-old cyclist, a resident of Mechernich, was using the left-hand sidewalk on Trierer Straße at the time of the incident. The cyclist intended to cross the street when the collision occurred. Unfortunately, the cyclist did not see the approaching motorcyclist, leading to the unfortunate incident.

The motorcyclist involved in the collision was a 61-year-old resident of Nettersheim, who was traveling from Mechernich towards Mechernich-Eiserfey on Trierer Straße at the time.

Both individuals were injured in the incident. The exact extent of their injuries is not known at this time, but both were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The Kreispolizeibehörde Euskirchen is handling the investigation into the accident, and the name of the cyclist is not being released at this time.
