Bicycle-motorcycle crash leaves man in grave condition - Collision between a pedelec and motorcycle leaves a man in perilous condition
In the Hannover region, a collision between an e-bike and a motorcycle on County Road 204 has left both riders with serious injuries. The incident, which took place between Adensen and Schulenburg, occurred at an intersection and resulted in the e-bike being torn apart, with parts landing in the ditch.
The 60-year-old e-bike rider was critically injured and had to be taken to the hospital by helicopter, while the motorcyclist, whose age was not specified, was also hospitalized. Both riders fell off their vehicles in the collision.
Unfortunately, new information has emerged that the e-bike rider who was severely injured was a 78-year-old man from Hildesheim, who later passed away after the accident. The motorcycle driver was later identified as a 34-year-old woman from Pattensen.
The police have confirmed the incident, and an eyewitness reported that several drivers passed by without stopping to help. The road was temporarily closed after the accident.
A trauma psychologist was present at the scene to care for first responders, but no new information about the ages of the e-bike rider or the motorcyclist was provided.
