In the Main-Kinzig district, an 18-year-old driver found himself in hot water after leading a police chase under the influence of alcohol and drugs. The incident occurred in Bruchköbel-Niederissigheim, where the driver, in possession of a vehicle with mismatched license plates, fled from a police control.

The police did not disclose the reason for the initial stop, but the driver, who was not in possession of a valid driver's license, sped off down a state road towards Roßdorf. During the chase, the car was driven at high speeds, with the driver occasionally exceeding the speed limit.

The car's reckless journey came to an end at the "Turbo-Kreisel" roundabout, where the vehicle lost control and collided with a traffic sign. Remarkably, no one was injured in the crash. The driver attempted to escape on foot but was promptly apprehended by a police officer.

Upon arriving at the police station, the chase ended, and the driver was present for questioning. The car, which had been driven without lights during the chase, was also found at the station. No further details were provided about the occupants of the car other than the driver.

A small amount of marijuana was discovered in the car, which was attributed to a 17-year-old occupant. The driver, it was later revealed, had apparently consumed drugs before the chase. The car also drove without lights through the Krebsbachaue nature reserve during the chase.

The 18-year-old driver now faces charges for suspicion of driving without a license, endangering traffic, hit and run, and violating the mandatory insurance law. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers and consequences of impaired driving and fleeing from the authorities.
