On Monday, August 25th, a traffic accident occurred on the B 254 near Lauterbach, East Hesse. The incident involved a tractor, a truck, and a VW Sharan.
According to the reports, the accident took place when the truck driver overtook the tractor in a left-hand curve. As a result, the truck collided head-on with the VW Sharan, which was traveling in the opposite direction.
The drivers of both the vehicles, a 19-year-old from Gedern and a 62-year-old from Wuppertal, along with the 21-year-old passenger of the VW Sharan, sustained slight injuries. They were taken to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.
The B 254 was fully closed for several hours due to rescue and recovery operations. The estimated material damage from the accident is around 200,000 euros.
