Collision Involving Four Vehicles on Polish-Ankara Road

A four-vehicle collision occurred on Wolgaster Street in Anklam, Germany, causing significant damage and injuring two drivers. The accident involved a Mercedes, a VW box van, a VW car, and a Hyundai.

According to Police Director Tino Peker, the head of the Anklam Police Inspection, the 56-year-old driver of the Mercedes was traveling towards Eldena and was followed by a VW box van and a VW car. The drivers of all vehicles involved in the accident are German citizens.

The Mercedes, driven by a 56-year-old individual, was lightly injured in the accident. Unfortunately, the 68-year-old driver of the Hyundai sustained severe injuries. The Hyundai collided head-on with the Mercedes, causing a chain reaction with the following vehicles.

As a result of the accident, three of the four vehicles were no longer roadworthy. The total material damage from the accident amounts to 65,000 euros. The road was closed for two hours due to the accident, causing a temporary disruption in traffic flow.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident. After traffic resumed, the driver of the Hyundai, due to health issues, veered onto the opposite lane.
