Collision Involving Four Vehicles on Polish-Ankara Road
At around 10:50 AM today, a serious traffic accident occurred on Wolgaster Straße in Anklam, involving four vehicles.
The drivers of all vehicles involved in the accident are German citizens. The 68-year-old driver of a Hyundai sedan, who sustained serious injuries, is one of the victims. The 56-year-old driver of a Mercedes, who was slightly injured, is another.
According to preliminary reports, the driver of the Hyundai sedan, due to health issues, veered onto the opposite lane, causing the accident. Three of the four vehicles were no longer roadworthy after the accident. The total material damage from the accident was estimated at 65,000 euros.
The 62-year-old driver of a VW box truck and the 64-year-old driver of a VW sedan were also involved in the accident.
The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Police Inspectorate Anklam. The road was closed for two hours due to the accident and the ongoing investigation.

The accident occurred at the intersection with the Walther-Rathenau-Straße due to the resumption of traffic. The drivers' identities will be withheld until their families have been notified.
