Collision on the Road: Motorcyclist Meets Car, Resulting in Injuries for Two
In a distressing turn of events, two separate traffic incidents have occurred in Berlin within the past day.
Yesterday afternoon, around 2 PM, a traffic accident took place on Berliner Allee towards Pistoriusstraße. The driver of a Volkswagen Polo was uninjured, but the passenger suffered cuts to her leg. She was taken to a clinic for outpatient treatment. The traffic investigation unit of Police Directorate 5 (City) has taken over the further investigation.
In a separate incident, a motorcyclist was seriously injured in Weißensee, Berlin. The motorcyclist, who has not been identified due to the ongoing investigation, did not have a driver's license. There is suspicion that the motorcyclist was under the influence of alcohol and narcotics. The motorcyclist was riding a Yamaha at the time of the accident.
The motorcyclist failed to notice a traffic jam caused by a red light and collided with a waiting Polo. As a result, the motorcyclist sustained head injuries and was taken to a hospital. A blood sample was taken at the hospital as part of the investigation.
The traffic investigation unit is conducting a thorough investigation into both incidents to determine the exact causes and any potential legal implications.
