In an update on the major traffic accident that occurred early Sunday morning on the A5 motorway near Renchen, we have some new developments to share.

The accident, involving a Honda Civic and a Ford Mustang, took place approximately 400 meters long, causing significant disruption to traffic. The traffic was rerouted past the accident site during the traffic and recovery measures.

The 25-year-old driver of the Honda Civic sustained serious injuries and was taken to a nearby clinic for medical treatment. Unfortunately, the damage to the Honda Civic is estimated at around 8,000 euros, and the vehicle is no longer roadworthy.

On the other hand, the Ford Mustang was a total loss in the accident. The 48-year-old driver remained uninjured but also had to contend with the aftermath of the collision, as the vehicle was no longer drivable.

At least two more car drivers drove into the debris field of the approximately 400-meter-long accident site, also sustaining property damage.
