Passau, Germany, is set to host its 25th Children's and Family Festival on Sunday, 21st September 2025, in the beautiful Bschütt Park. The festival, running from 11:00 to 17:00, invites all to a day of creative, movement, and play activities, designed for young and old to enjoy.

The theme of this year's festival is family, adventure, and fun. A variety of attractions promise an entertaining and participatory experience for everyone. Among the highlights are dream catcher making workshops, interactive large painting walls, and a teddy clinic.

For the more adventurous, there will be a grease fire simulation by the local fire brigade, Bobby car races, and a boat ride on the Ilz river. The music school MusiX, Kindergarde Grubweg, dance school Some Simple Steps, boxing club Passau, magicians Frants, and Freudenhain Big Band will entertain on the festival stage.

Numerous institutions from the city's broad range of associations and clubs will present themselves with their own stands, showcasing local schools, family counseling centres, youth clubs, health services, and cultural organisations. The FFW Ilzstadt will also be performing at the festival, with a raffle organised by the same group.

The festival is planned in cooperation with the city youth ring and features a free shuttle bus service, running every 45 minutes from 10:45. Stops include the bike tunnel, parking lot under the Schanzl bridge/Upper Danube, and Lindau, making it easy for visitors to reach Bschütt Park.

Visitors can also look forward to self-made games, face painting, and food and drink provided on the festival grounds. In the spirit of inclusivity, an additional on-demand stop has been set up at the motorcycle parking lots for the Children's Festival.

Please note that the festival will only take place if the weather is good, with announcements made on the city of Passau's website or social media channels one day before the event. The festival organisers look forward to welcoming you to a day of family fun and adventure!
