Yesterday afternoon, a tragic accident occurred on the Bossendorfer Damm in Recklinghausen, involving a car from Bochum and another from Dorsten.
According to the initial report, the collision resulted in critical injuries for several occupants. The driver of the Bochum car, a 54-year-old woman, and the driver of the Dorsten car, a 78-year-old man, were both critically injured. Sadly, the 80-year-old passenger from the Dorsten car did not survive the accident.
The occupants of the Dorsten car, three men aged 56, 58, and 80, were also seriously and critically injured. A 59-year-old passenger from Haltern am See, who was in the Bochum woman's car, was seriously injured as well.
Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing, and the identity of the driver of the car traveling between Fläschheim and Recklinghausen involved in the collision has not been publicly disclosed.

The reason for the woman from Bochum ending up in the opposite lane is currently unknown. The police are working diligently to gather more information and determine the exact circumstances surrounding the accident.
