Volkswagen Unveils New T-Roc: A Hot Hatch with High-Performance Characteristics

Volkswagen has announced the return of its high-performance hot hatch, the T-Roc R, in 2027. The brand itself will be offering the R-model, which boasts hybrid power and is part of Volkswagen's performance lineup.

The exterior of the new T-Roc is striking, with continuous LED strips front and rear. The vehicle also sports a coupé-like roofline and a distinctive shoulder section, measuring 4373 mm in length, having grown by 122 mm.

Inside, the T-Roc aims to establish an unusually high level of material and build quality for the segment. Optional features include illuminated VW logos and a head-up display projected onto the windshield. Standard features include lane keep assist, emergency braking assist with pedestrian and cyclist recognition, lane change assist with exit warning, traffic sign recognition, and Park Assist Pro with memory function.

The T-Roc's newly designed headlights can be equipped with LED Plus or "IQ.Light" matrix LED. The interior is equipped with the new Digital Cockpit Pro (10.0 inches) and infotainment displays up to 12.9 inches.

The T-Roc offers noticeably more legroom in the rear due to a wheelbase of 2631 mm. The trunk volume has increased to 465 liters, a gain of 20 liters. The T-Roc's Park Assist Pro can store up to five parking maneuvers and perform them independently, and remote-controlled parking is possible via smartphone.

In combination with the new software generation, the T-Roc's system is said to regulate more harmoniously and, in case of an emergency, bring the vehicle to a stop independently on the shoulder. The Travel Assist (option) for the T-Roc now supports automatic lane changes at speeds above 68 km/h and adjusts speed proactively in curves, roundabouts, and speed limits.

Optional features for the T-Roc include a feature that allows the vehicle to park itself, making parking a breeze. The T-Roc is set to make a strong impression with its combination of style, performance, and advanced technology. Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming Volkswagen T-Roc R.
