In the heart of Bocholt, Germany, a tragic incident unfolded on Werther Street and Wiesen Street intersection on August 13, 2025. The Borken County Police confirmed that a traffic accident involving a cyclist and a vehicle occurred at approximately 4:55 PM.
The initial report of the accident can be found here. At the time of the report, the cyclist, an 87-year-old individual, was severely injured.
Sadly, the cyclist passed away on August 28, 2025, according to the hospital's report. The exact cause of the accident and the cyclist's death remain under investigation by the Borken County Police.
The Borken County Police have designated Sandra Biedermann (sb), Leonie Dreier (ld), Markus Huls (mh), Peter Lefering (pl), Thorsten Ohm (to), Muzeyyen Sander (ms), and Tina Schellberg (ts) as contact persons for media representatives regarding this incident.
