Companies within the ASI sector invited for participation in the 2022 Summer Internship Program
The Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) is excited to announce the seventh annual ASI Summer Internship Program, open to any member company in the promotional products industry.
Program Details
Interested companies can click here for more information or to register an intern. The internship program is free for ASI member companies who hire one or more interns for the summer.
The internship starts from mid-May to mid-June, and participating interns will have access to ASI's flagship product, ESP, which manages the industry's entire supply and marketing chain. Distributor interns will receive free ESP access, while supplier interns will get ESP updates, both with the license expiring October 1.
Training and Support
ASI provides a comprehensive training program for its interns. According to the feedback from last year's interns, 90% found the training helpful, and 86% agreed that ASI's support was effective. The training includes an industry overview and a webinar education series.
ASI also offers tools on the intern website to help members find interns. The intern portal includes program resources and job aids for participating interns.
Internship Benefits
Participating interns will have the opportunity to work in various settings, whether they work at home, in the office, or at factories. ASI issues an internship completion certificate to all participating interns.
Last summer, 230 interns worked at 18 supplier and 130 distributor companies. One intern expressed that the easily accessible way to interact with other interns was great.
Scholarship Opportunity
A deserving intern who takes part in the program will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship from ASI. To date, ASI has awarded $11,000 in scholarships to participating interns.
Networking Opportunities
ASI invites participating interns to the ASI Chicago Show, taking place July 19-21. This is an excellent opportunity for interns to network with industry professionals and learn more about the promotional products industry.

According to Timothy M. Andrews, president and chief executive officer of ASI, over a thousand interns have participated in ASI's intern program over the years. Andrews believes that these future entrepreneurs will create new jobs across numerous industries and that getting them excited about the value of promotional products during their internship will pay dividends for years to come.
ASI's Marketing Manager Jenna Davidowicz will help interns bond and learn together remotely through the ASI Intern Program Instagram page and digital webinars.
