Company GRiD has entered into an agreement with Mattioli Woods, a wealth management firm.
Mattioli Woods, a leading advisory firm with over 1,000 employees, has joined GRiD (Group Risk Development), a prominent industry body for group risk. The move comes as employers are increasingly focusing on the Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) credentials of employee benefits providers.
Saira Chambers, Employee Benefits Director at Mattioli Woods, stated that joining GRiD will help promote the importance of protection benefits for employees. Mattioli Woods, initially founded as a pensions consultancy, now advises on wealth management, employee benefits, and group risk.
Broadstone, another specialist in pensions, trustee, and employee benefits advice, has also joined GRiD. The primary reasons for Broadstone's membership include staying updated on industry developments and accessing specialist group risk training.
Aston Lark, an insurance broker, has also joined GRiD for benefits such as specialist group risk training, networking opportunities, access to employer research, and collaboration with leading group risk experts.
GRiD brings together companies within the group risk protection sector to benefit from collective experience and lobbying power. The organisation's current membership consists of approximately 70 expert organisations working in or with the group risk market.
Barry Waring, Chair of Raising the Profile at GRiD, expressed delight at Mattioli Woods joining the organisation, looking forward to the perspective they will bring from an employee benefits and engagement point of view. Members of GRiD are actively encouraged to join committees and working groups within the organisation, which focus on Regulations, Profile Raising, and Workplace Public Policy.
Employers are placing increasing importance on the ESG credentials of employee benefits suppliers, particularly in regulated areas like insurance. GRiD advises that employers are now checking the ESG credentials of employee benefits supplier companies.
