Comprehensive Guide for Portugal's Digital Nomad Residency Documents
Portugal has become an attractive destination for digital nomads, with the introduction of the Portugal Digital Nomad Visa, or D8 visa, in October 2022. This visa allows remote workers to relocate to Portugal for either one or two years.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the visa, you must have a valid passport, work remotely, earn €3,480/month, have international health insurance, and have a clean criminal record. Required Documents

Health Insurance

Accommodations
A signed 12-month lease agreement is required for the address of accommodations in Portugal. Using a local real estate agency like Ola Estate is recommended for finding accommodations in Portugal.

Digital nomads will pay taxes in Portugal when they apply for the digital nomad visa and establish a residence there.
