Confirmation Unveiled: Hard Rock to Debut 2027 Launch of New Vegas Venue
Hard Rock Las Vegas: A Major Resort on the Strip by Q4 2027
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, the ambitious project transforming the former Mirage, is progressing smoothly and is expected to open its doors in the early fourth quarter of 2027. The development, which began immediately after the Mirage's closure in July 2024, is currently on schedule and on budget, despite broader signs of cooling on the Las Vegas Strip.
The new Hard Rock Las Vegas will nearly double the casino space compared to the former Mirage, expanding from 94,000 sq ft to approximately 174,000 sq ft. The property expansion includes not only a larger casino floor but also new retail areas, restaurants, and a nightclub. The transformation will also see the construction of the iconic "Guitar Hotel" tower, a distinctive guitar-shaped building serving as the centrepiece for the resort.
In addition to the casino, the resort will offer substantial hotel accommodations and spa amenities. While specific details about the number of rooms or the spa’s features have not been fully disclosed, construction photos and video updates show major structural work underway. Each of the two hotel towers at the Guitar Hotel will now feature its own spa, and the pool area will be 50% larger than previously planned. Moreover, the spa space will nearly triple.
The number of rooms and suites in the Guitar Hotel will increase to 675. Hard Rock International prioritises the quality of the overall product, including amenities, entertainment, and experiential opportunities. The finer details like entertainment acts, dining options, and immersive attractions at Hard Rock Las Vegas are still in development.
Hard Rock Las Vegas believes in the long-term potential of Las Vegas, citing upcoming projects like The Sphere, the possible A's stadium, and the Brightline rail line. The company foresees continued long-term growth in all business segments, indicating an exciting future for itself in Las Vegas.
In the transformative heart of Las Vegas, the forthcoming Hard Rock Las Vegas, once the Mirage, will showcase a vibrant casino-and-gambling scene spanning a 174,000 sq ft casino floor alongside entertainment options, lending to the unique casino-culture. Beyond gaming, this major Strip resort, set to open its doors in Q4 2027, will boast of hotel accommodations, spa amenities, and a variety of restaurants, retail areas, and nightclubs, creating an all-encompassing entertainment destination.
