In the past week, Offenbach am Main has seen a series of criminal incidents, according to the local police department. Here is a round-up of the recent events:

Assault in Schäferstraße

A 36-year-old woman was the victim of a physical assault and verbal abuse by five unidentified individuals in Schäferstraße. One of the men is said to have pushed her so forcefully that she fell to the ground, injuring her knees. The Offenbach am Main police department has contacted the Ost-Hessen police for further investigation.

Thefts and Damage

  1. Electrical equipment worth approximately 500 euros was stolen from three sheds at a sports facility in Waldemar-Klein-Platz.
  2. Two unknown individuals broke into a pizzeria in Hafenallee and made off with the cash register. Initial clues suggest the perpetrators were slim, dressed in black, masked, and one wore a black baseball cap.
  3. A high-voltage cable was cut in Langen, causing unauthorized access and property damage.
  4. Witnesses are asked to come forward regarding the altercation in Lautzenhardtweg, where a 50-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man are under investigation for suspected dangerous bodily harm and criminal damage.

Vehicle Vandalism

The 36-year-old woman's car was vandalised overnight in Schäferstraße. The right exterior mirror was kicked off, all four tires were punctured, and both license plates were stolen. The total damage is estimated at around 7,500 euros.

Arrest and Investigation

A suspected thief was swiftly arrested in Dreieich/Buchschlag. Further details about this case are not yet available.

Additionally, an investigation for incitement of the people has been initiated in Offenbach am Main.
