Connecticut Sky suffered a secretive defeat at the hands of Leïla Lacan and Migna Touré against the Connecticut Sun

The Atlanta Dream secured a crucial victory over the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday night, with a score of 86-75. This win moved the Dream closer to a playoff spot, as they now hold sole possession of the second place in the WNBA.

Before the game, the Dream were tied with the Las Vegas Aces and Phoenix Mercury in the league standings. The victory over the Sparks allows them to pull ahead, leaving the Aces and Mercury behind.

The Dream's improved record now stands at 28-14, while the Sparks have struggled to maintain their position among the top four teams in the WNBA. The loss leaves the Sparks with a record below the top four, and they are currently not in playoff contention.

Meanwhile, the Connecticut Sun and the Chicago Sky, who have been out of playoff contention for some time, faced off on Wednesday night. The Sun, coached by Rachid Meziane, suffered a third consecutive defeat, losing to the Sky with a score of 88-64.

The best scorer for the Sun, excluding Bria Hartley, in the past two games has been Jonquel Jones. However, Hartley missed her third consecutive game due to a knee injury, which may have contributed to the Sun's loss.

On the other hand, Migna Touré played for 17 minutes but failed to score (0-3 FG) and contributed just 1 assist for the Chicago Sky.

In a positive note for the WNBA, the Minnesota Lynx remain in the first place in the league, with a strong record. The race for the playoffs is heating up, and the Atlanta Dream are certainly making a strong push for a spot.

The WNBA continues to provide exciting and competitive basketball, with teams battling it out for playoff positions. The Dream's recent victory over the Sparks is a testament to their determination and skill, and they will undoubtedly be a force to be reckoned with in the coming weeks.
