In the heart of Panketal, near the Berlin city border, a new residential quarter named "Eichenring" has been completed. Spanning approximately 17,600 square meters, this modern complex offers 221 apartments and seven commercial units, providing a fresh addition to the housing market.

The project, developed by TREUCON in collaboration with the municipal housing association HOWOGE, was designed by Berlin architect Jessica Faskel. Inspired by historical double horseshoe settlements, the "Eichenring" quarter aims to blend harmoniously into the small-scale surroundings of single-family and row houses, while also forming a new architectural accent at the interface between Brandenburg and Berlin.

The construction of this multi-story car park with 153 parking spaces and the residential buildings began in February 2022. Despite challenges such as shortages in various areas and significant price increases due to the war in Ukraine, the project was successfully completed in June 2025.

A team-building approach was adopted, involving all actors in the planning from the beginning. This collaborative effort allowed for quick identification and resolution of difficulties, ensuring the project's timely completion.

Each apartment in the "Eichenring" complex boasts a balcony or terrace, contributing to the project's claim of high living quality. Barrier-free access was a central concern in the design, with elevators and threshold-free access ensuring easy accessibility for people with limited mobility.

The buildings open onto a central courtyard that serves as a gathering and meeting place. The quarter is designed to alleviate pressure on the Berlin housing market and promote the development of the surrounding area.

The long-term financing for the project is provided by the Investment Bank of the State of Brandenburg. The "Eichenring" residential quarter stands as an example of successful regional cooperation between Berlin and Brandenburg in improving housing supply, known as the "Eichenring" serves as an example of successful regional cooperation between Berlin and Brandenburg in improving housing supply.

With about 60% of the apartments being two and three-room apartments, the "Eichenring" residential quarter offers a variety of housing options near the capital. The approximately 15,700 square meters of living space are distributed among one to four-room apartments, catering to the diverse needs of the community.
