Construction commences on Caesars Republic Sonoma County, in partnership with Dry Creek Rancheria, a significant development in the California county.

The Caesars Republic Sonoma County project, a joint venture between the Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians and Caesars Entertainment, is set to transform the existing River Rock Casino into a world-class integrated resort. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on August 2, 2025, with an anticipated opening by summer 2027.

A Destination for Hospitality and Entertainment

The resort will offer a diverse range of amenities, including:

  • A casino floor featuring over 1,000 slot machines and 28 table games
  • A luxurious 100-room hotel with a spa, pool, and fitness center
  • Multiple dining options catering to various tastes, such as a steakhouse, upscale café, Asian cuisine, quick-service dining, and dedicated wine bar with an outdoor deck offering stunning valley views
  • Cozy bars like a fireside bar and sports bar

Scenic Location

Situated off Highway 101, north of Santa Rosa, California, the resort is perched above Alexander Valley Vineyards, offering breathtaking vineyard and river views.

Strong Partnerships and Financing

The Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians, the tribal owners and strategic partners, have chosen Caesars Entertainment as their development and management partner for the resort's operations.

Citizens Financial Group, Inc., one of the nation's oldest and largest financial institutions, led the overall project financing. Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. (GLPI), a real estate company that acquires, finances, and owns properties for gaming operators, serves as the lead real estate financing partner, acquiring the underlying land.

This project aims not only to elevate Sonoma County’s status as a premier destination for hospitality, gaming, and entertainment but also to generate economic resilience and employment opportunities for the tribe and surrounding community.

A World-Class Integrated Resort

The Caesars Republic Sonoma County is a significant investment in Northern California’s wine country, representing a multi-year redevelopment of the River Rock Casino site into a world-class integrated resort, supported by a strong collaboration among the tribal owners, casino operator, and financial partners. The resort will be part of Caesars Entertainment's Caesars Rewards network, allowing guests to earn and redeem Reward Credits at any of Caesars Entertainment's 50+ destinations across the country.
