Construction of the significant structure, Port One, is underway at North Harbour
New Office and Commercial Complex to Rise in Berlin's North Harbor
Berlin's North Harbor is set to welcome a new addition to its cityscape, with the construction of the "Port One Berlin" project. According to current planning, this multifunctional building complex is scheduled to be completed by 2025.
The future "Port One Berlin" building will be a striking addition to the area, with its facade clad in light travertine and dominated by large-scale glazing. The southern part of the building will align with the street and railway tracks, rising to a 55-meter-high tower, making it particularly striking.
The "Port One Berlin" project will offer a diverse range of uses. In addition to office space, it will accommodate artist studios, a publicly accessible café facing the Friedrich-Krause-Ufer, a restaurant area, and a kindergarten.
Outdoor design is a key focus for the project, with rooftop terraces, green inner courtyards, and a "forest biotope" in the north planned. Careful consideration has been given to ensure that the outdoor spaces provide diverse usage options.
Another office project planned in the immediate vicinity of "Decks Berlin" is the "Port One Berlin" project. While the "Decks Berlin" project is being built at Friedrich-Krause-Ufer, separate from the "Port One Berlin" project, another commercial project is being developed directly on the Friedrich-Krause-Ufer.
The consortium responsible for the "Port One Berlin" project includes Optima-Aegidius Firm Group, IKR Bauträger and Participation GmbH, and Competo Capital Partners. The search results do not specify which consortium commissioned the project.
Meanwhile, the major construction project "Europacity" has largely been completed south of the North Harbor. By 2026, an S-Bahn station will be built at the Perleberger Bridge, further enhancing the area's transport links.
In addition to these developments, the "Upbeat Berlin" high-rise project is currently being built as a high point at the northern end of the new quarter. The cityscape at the North Harbor is set to undergo a significant transformation in the coming years, with these exciting new projects.
