Construction projects within the forest region are now set to undergo registration, as per the Commission's decision.
In the heart of Berlin-Plänterwald, a new housing development is taking shape. The state-owned housing development company, STADT UND LAND Wohnbauten-Gesellschaft mbH, has begun the registration phase for the rental of 90 new apartments at Galileistreet 27-39.
The project, set to be completed by 2026, will see the construction of five new buildings in solid construction, alongside additions to existing buildings. These new structures will be part of the expansion of the Am Plänterwald quarter.
The apartments, spread over four full floors and one penthouse floor, offer units with one to four rooms. Each apartment will come equipped with underfloor heating, storage rooms, and modern bathrooms with shower or bathtub and glass partition. For added comfort, balconies, ground-floor terraces, and large rooftop terraces provide additional outdoor space.
Barrier-free and barrier-reduced access, along with elevators, make the units more accessible. This includes senior-friendly living options, ensuring the development caters to various demographics. The housing options available range from six one-room apartments, six 1.5-room apartments, to 42 four-room apartments.
Sustainability is at the forefront of this project. All buildings will be built to the KfW 55 energy standard, ensuring energy efficiency. The roofs of the new buildings will be extensively greened for rainwater regulation and microclimate improvement. Additionally, 39 new trees are planned for planting in the quarter, contributing to the green environment.
The planning is based on the "TYPENHAUSplus" catalog from STADT UND LAND, which allows for uniform and flexible construction. This catalog ensures a cohesive design throughout the development while allowing for customisation to meet the needs of the residents.
Interested parties can now register online for the opportunity to move into these new apartments early. The project aims to combine living quality and environmental awareness, making it an attractive option for singles, couples, families, and seniors alike.
The Galileistreet quarter is set to become a vibrant and eco-friendly community, nestled in a green environment. With its focus on accessibility, sustainability, and diverse housing options, this development is sure to be a welcome addition to Berlin-Plänterwald.
