In the quiet town of Westoverledingen, a hit-and-run accident occurred yesterday afternoon at around 16:00 in the supermarket parking lot on Ihrener Straße. The 71-year-old driver, whose driver's license has since been confiscated, was involved in the incident. Reports suggest that the driver had a blood alcohol concentration of 1.47%. Witnesses with information about the driver or the incident are asked to contact the police.

Elsewhere in East Frisia, an attempted fraud was committed against a 71-year-old in Neukamperfehn by fake Microsoft employees. Fortunately, the elderly woman recognised the scam in time and no financial damage was incurred. The police officer responsible for investigating this case is from the Leer/Emden police station, but the specific officer's name is not publicly disclosed.

In addition to these incidents, a hit-and-run incident occurred in Leer on Tuesday at around 16:00 on Grossstraße, involving a 9-year-old child who was lightly injured.
