Daily report in Neuss on April 2, 2021 reveals a surge in COVID-19 cases, with 1,007 confirmed compared to the previous day's 980, and 60 new infections diagnosed.

Coronavirus cases are on a consistent upward trend

In the latest update, the district of Rhein-Kreis Neuss continues to grapple with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As of 2nd April, a total of 1,007 individuals have tested positive for the coronavirus, marking an increase from the previous day's 980 cases.

The 7-day incidence value, as reported by the Landeszentrum Gesundheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, stands at 125.5, higher than the value on 22nd March (100.9) and a rise from the previous day's 110.0.

Despite these concerning numbers, there is some positive news. As of now, 47,442 people in the district have received a vaccination, with 17,022 individuals having already received their second dose, which offers protection against infection with the coronavirus.

The head of the health department (Gesundheitsamt) in Rhein-Kreis Neuss is Stephen Schröder. For those seeking information or clarification, the district health department has established a hotline at 02181/601-7777. The hotline is available from Monday to Friday from 8 - 18 o'clock and on weekends from 10 - 18 o'clock.

Currently, 60 individuals infected are in the hospital, the same as the previous day. It is important to note that the number of deaths from the disease remains at 287.
