Corporation Under Investigation for Alleged Data Breach: major company facing scrutiny over potential unauthorized access to user information.
The Denver Racquets Club (DRC) has undergone a significant transformation under its new owner, Ian Hintz. Once known as the Meadow Creek Tennis and Fitness Club, the club has added new sports, upgraded its facilities, and attracted a larger membership.
DRC, located at 6305 W. 6th Ave, is now under the ownership of Ian Hintz, who bought the business from Adam Kahn. Kahn, who previously owned the club for two decades, has sold DRC to focus on a separate pickleball-only business. Shawn Faber, another former owner, also parted ways with the club in the past.
Under Hintz's leadership, DRC has expanded its offerings to include pickleball and padel courts, in addition to its seven indoor tennis courts. Adult members now pay either $35 or $50 a month for all DRC's offerings, with an initiation fee of $175 or $250.
The number of DRC members has increased significantly, growing from around 600 to about 1,000 under Hintz's ownership. Four new padel courts were recently opened at the club, and it still has capacity for more members, according to Hintz.
In the future, Hintz plans to introduce food and beverage offerings at DRC, as well as sports like squash, badminton, and table tennis. He also intends to renovate the locker rooms and upgrade the 60,000-square-foot facility.
Outdoor pickleball courts may be added to DRC via another satellite setup. Hintz also plans to add more courts for other sports, aiming to make DRC a hub for various racquet sports in the Denver area.
Courts at DRC remain open to non-members, who pay a daily fee of $5 or $10 depending on age. This accessibility is part of Hintz's vision to make the club a welcoming space for the entire community.
With these changes, the Denver Racquets Club is poised to continue its long history of providing top-quality sports facilities and experiences for Denver residents.
