Countries led by Zelensky have revealed their promised guarantees for Ukraine, numbering 26 in total.
In a significant development, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on September 6 that 26 countries have pledged security guarantees for Ukraine. This announcement comes after French President Emmanuel Macron's statement on September 4, confirming that 26 countries are ready to deploy troops or provide means to support the forces guaranteeing security.
The President's main priority in his work with partners is the protection of the sky from Russian 'Shaheds' and rockets, as well as securing land, air, sea, cyberspace, and funding for the Ukrainian army.
The Coalition of the Determined, a group of countries, has been actively discussing Ukraine's security. On September 4, this coalition held a meeting to further solidify their support for Ukraine.
The United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Australia, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, Ireland, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, and Iceland are among the 26 countries that make up the Coalition of the Willing providing security guarantees to Ukraine.
The PURL program, which allows Ukraine to buy American weapons, has already seen over 2 billion dollars spent. The President is also working on new contributions from partners to the PURL program.
The upcoming week is expected to be active with preparations for the "Ramstein" format, which is a part of these ongoing discussions and efforts to secure Ukraine's safety.
President Zelensky emphasized the need for weapons and long-term funding for the Ukrainian army, highlighting the crucial role the Ukrainian army's strength plays in maintaining the country's independence and sovereignty.
