Country's Current State Unfolded in Initial Segment of Video
In the heart of Rome, a shocking discovery was made at the convent of the "Patronesses of the Virgin Mary." A young German nun's body was found, and the events that followed would send waves throughout the city and beyond.
The German Ambassador to Italy, Karla Lorenz, found herself at the centre of the investigation, after being alerted by a friend, Micha Hauser, of the incident. The German government urged caution to preserve diplomatic relations, but Karla's instincts told her otherwise. Upon learning that the Mother Superior and Cardinal Köhlbauer intended to investigate the case internally, she feared a cover-up.
Enter the Italian Chief Inspector Ricarda Motte, played by Clelia Sarto, who would work alongside Karla to uncover the truth. Together, they would challenge attempts by the Church to keep the matter secret and delve into a web of corruption and blackmail that threatened to shake the foundations of the Vatican.
Their investigation would be documented in a 90-minute crime series titled "Death of a Nun - The Diplomat in Rome," or D 2025, directed by Roland Suso Richter. The cast includes Natalia Wörner as Karla Lorenz, Jan Horava (Alexander Beyer), Clelia Sarto as Ricarda Motte, Susanne Wuest as Mother Superior, Maria Matschke-Engel as Sister Sophie, and Samantha Scuto Hanses as Giulia Bianchi.
As the investigation deepens, another nun goes missing, suggesting that time is running out for Karla and Ricarda. The Vatican gets involved, adding another layer of complexity to the case. Despite the challenges, Karla and Ricarda remain determined to bring justice and uncover the truth.
The video of D 2025 is available until August 23, 2026. The series is rated FSK 12, making it suitable for a general audience. If you're looking for a gripping mystery that takes you on a journey through the heart of Rome and the Vatican, look no further than D 2025.
