Court Rules Commission Failed to Meet Obligations under Article 85 (1) of the Treaty by Neglecting to Establish Conditions for Aid Approval.

On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, the Düsseldorf Police stepped up their patrols as part of a cooperative project aimed at enhancing safety in the main train station area.

During the evening, officers checked a total of 62 individuals, offering services to a number of homeless drug addicts who had previously had no contact with support services. The services were directed towards appropriate agencies, aiming to provide assistance and support to those in need.

However, the encounter was not without incident. Several knives were found on the individuals being checked, and two theft/handling stolen goods reports were made. As a result, officers filed 13 criminal charges throughout the evening, with ten of these charges being for drug-related offenses. One case of insult was also reported.

In response to these incidents, the Düsseldorf Police have vowed to continue reinforcing patrols in the main train station area. The leadership of the reinforcement patrols as part of the 2025 security cooperation project is not specified in the available sources.

Officers also issued 29 dispersal orders during the evening, underscoring their commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly environment in the train station area.

The Düsseldorf Police's efforts are part of a larger push to improve safety and security in the city, and their continued patrols are a testament to their dedication to this cause.
