In a thrilling KFC T20 Max match, Redlands emerged victorious against Valley, winning by 41 runs. The match was a high-scoring affair, with Valley reaching 150-8 by the end of the 17th over, needing another 42 off the last three overs.

The KFC T20 Max final was not Labuschagne's first impressive performance of the season. Earlier in the tournament, he scored a century, 100 not out off 57 balls, against the University of Queensland. However, Redlands lost the match by four runs.
Labuschagne's recent hat-trick comes at a crucial time, as Australia has several top-order questions to answer with a home Ashes coming up in November. Labuschagne will be hoping to get back into the reckoning by piling up runs in the Sheffield Shield season, which starts on October 4.
