Criminal at large: RCMP shares pictures of break-in suspect involved in two incidents
In the quiet town of Richer, Manitoba, a series of break-ins at a business on Highway 1 East has left the community on edge. According to the Manitoba RCMP, two break-ins occurred at the same location, first on July 26 and then again on Aug. 18, both resulting in the theft of cash.
The investigation into these incidents is ongoing, but police believe that the same person may be responsible for both break-ins. On July 26, around 4 a.m., the first break-in took place. The suspect, dressed in a black balaclava, gloves, a dark jacket, a red buttoned shirt, dark pants, and a hat, allegedly carried out the crime, using a yellow crowbar to gain entry. The suspect then made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in a blue van.
Just over a month later, on Aug. 18, the business was broken into again, this time around the same hour. The suspect in this break-in wore a black balaclava and carried a yellow crowbar, similar to the items used in the July 26 break-in. The suspect also wore shoes that resembled those worn during the previous break-in.
In an effort to identify the suspect, the Manitoba RCMP have released images of the potential culprit, asking anyone with information on their identity to contact them or Crime Stoppers. The investigation continues, and the public's help is greatly appreciated.
It is important to note that none of the allegations regarding these break-ins have been tested in a court of law. The suspect remains at large, and the search for them continues. The Steinbach RCMP are urging anyone with information to come forward and help bring the suspect to justice.
As the community of Richer grapples with these incidents, they are reminded to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities. The RCMP continues to work diligently to solve these cases and ensure the safety of the community.
