Criminal break-ins reported in Kalk and Vingst, with multiple suspected perpetrators still at large
In the heart of Cologne, Germany, a series of arrests were made on Friday, 31st January, as police officers apprehended three suspected burglars. The incident took place in the districts of Vingst and Kalk.
According to initial investigations, the duo gained access to an apartment in Nießenstraße around 3 PM. However, their actions did not go unnoticed. Another witness, a resident of the building, spotted two suspicious women in the hallway and promptly called the emergency number.
Meanwhile, in Ostheimer Straße, one of the suspects was arrested red-handed by a resident who noticed an open apartment door. The 63-year-old resident held the suspect until the police arrived.
The police later returned the stolen goods to the apartment owner, a 63-year-old resident of Nießenstraße. Unfortunately, one of the suspects, a 29-year-old with no fixed address in Germany, was sent to jail by a judge. The two other suspects, aged 28 and 17, were also arrested.
