Criminal Investigation in Dinslaken/Duisburg: Tragedy at a city-owned apartment complex as a suspected homicide follows a failed assassination attempt

In an unexpected turn of events, a physical altercation took place at a municipal accommodation facility on Straße An der Fliehburg in Dinslaken, Germany, on March 30, around 8:40 PM.

The incident, which involved three residents, led to a 23-year-old Afghan national being accused of causing serious bodily harm to another 27-year-old Afghan national using a sharp object. The victim was treated by emergency services at the scene and subsequently transported to a hospital.

The Duisburg Police have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the background of the incident and the weapon used. The 23-year-old suspect was taken into custody by responding officers and brought to a police holding cell.
