Criminals Demanding Bail Following Police Investigation by Pol-BI
In Bielefeld, Germany, on September 18, 2024, an unfortunate incident occurred when an elderly woman was scammed out of her money. The scam took place around 2:30 PM at the intersection of Tersteegenstraße and Dr.-Heidsieck-Straße.
The suspect, who remains unidentified, is approximately 40 years old, heavyset, and stands at around 1.80 meters tall. The individual was wearing a white T-shirt with a print and had short hair. The scammers pretended to be the woman's daughter, a policeman, and a prosecutor, threatening a large fine for an alleged accident and imprisonment, and demanded a bail of 100,000 euros.
The elderly woman, believing the scammers' story, agreed to hand over the cash she had at home. The money was handed over in a green bag to an unknown man who received it on behalf of the scammers.
The Bielefeld Police are seeking witnesses to this incident. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact the Criminal Investigation Department 25 at 0521/5450. Outside of office hours, the Control Center can be reached at 0521/545-0.
