Cruise Ship Passenger Daniel Küblböck Disappears at Sea, Extensive Search Follows

A distress call from the captain of the Aida Luna cruise ship on September 10, 2018, triggered a large-scale call of duty at sea. The call was made after the disappearance of Daniel Küblböck, who was performing on board as Lana Kaiser. The incident led to a thorough investigation by the 'SoKo Schlager' team, although no specific search institution was mentioned in proximity to the Aida at the time.

Küblböck had earlier injured his hand on a broken glass bottle, seeking help at the reception but being informed that the hospital was closed. Despite this, he tried to access the hospital, finding the door locked. His behavior in the weeks leading up to the incident was described by journalist Daniel Krämer as unhappy and involving excessive alcohol consumption. The captain, concerned about Küblböck's well-being, decided to search the entire ship for him. Surveillance footage later confirmed Küblböck jumping into the water. His father had attempted to stop his journey on the Aida but was unsuccessful. The ship was eventually stopped, and a search for Küblböck was initiated by the crew.

The search for Daniel Küblböck, who jumped overboard from the Aida Luna cruise ship in 2018, was extensive and involved the Canadian Coast Guard. Despite the efforts, he was not found. The incident was later investigated by the 'SoKo Schlager' team, who analyzed the dramatic events but did not specify any search institution in proximity to the Aida at the time.
