Currency Values: Affordable Vacations in These Countries in 2025
In the world of travel, currency exchange rates can significantly impact the cost of a holiday. Over the past year, several destinations have become more affordable for tourists due to favourable exchange rates.
One such destination is Australia and New Zealand, despite their high basic costs. The euro's exchange rate has gained between eight and ten percent in these countries, making car rentals, accommodation, and restaurant meals slightly more affordable for European travellers.

Romania and Bulgaria also offer significantly cheaper prices than the Central European average.
The euro has also gained significantly in Brazil, Colombia, Chile, and Peru, by up to 15 percent in some cases.
Vietnam and Sri Lanka, despite the euro's strength, offer a favorable price level with moderate flight costs and high experiential value. The euro exchange rate has risen by around eight percent in both countries.
