The Main Customs Office Gießen is gearing up for the start of a new training cycle, as more than 1,700 young individuals will begin higher or middle service training on September 1, 2025. Among these trainees, 39 will start their journey at the Main Customs Office Gießen.

The new recruits were warmly welcomed by Uta Ruge, the head of the Main Customs Office Gießen, and Anne Biermas, the training manager. The event marked the beginning of an exciting three-year dual course of study that will end with the academic degree "Bachelor of Laws" (LL.B. (CUSTOMS)).

For the higher service, the theoretical parts will be completed at the Federal Administration Academy in Münster, while for the middle service, the training will take place at the training centers of the Education and Science Center of the Federal Finance Administration.

During the practical phases, the future customs officers will spend time in various areas of the Main Customs Office Gießen and its larger locations, gaining hands-on experience.
