Cycling accident tragically claims life of fitness influencer Nicole Brenda Santos Marins as she collides with a car, followed by a fatal encounter with a delivery truck
In a tragic turn of events, 28-year-old fitness influencer and personal trainer, Nicole Brenda Santos Marins, lost her life in a three-vehicle collision on the BR-101 road in Greater Florianópolis, Brazil.
Marins was riding a Honda Biz motorcycle when she collided with a parked Fiat Doblo on the hard shoulder of the motorway. A large vehicle then ran over her, resulting in her tragic death at the scene.
Nicole Marins, who inspired "women to become their best selves" through her work, was a beloved figure in the fitness community. She was a personal trainer at a local gym in the Praia de Fora neighbourhood and also taught online classes, sharing fitness routines with her thousands of Instagram followers.
Her partner, Alisson Cravo, paid tribute to Marins on social media, describing her as "an incredible, hard-working, and courageous woman" and "a wonderful mother." The couple had more than 72,000 Instagram followers, sharing their breathtaking adventures across North and South America.
Unfortunately, the identity of the driver of the large vehicle that ran over Marins has not been publicly disclosed. The driver of the Fiat Doblo, a 31-year-old individual, was not injured in the incident.
In Canada, another tragic incident claimed the lives of YouTube stars Stacey Tourout and Matthew Yeomans. Rescuers believe they died when their off-road car plunged 650ft down a mountain near Trout Lake in British Colombia. Stacey Tourout and Matthew Yeomans were behind the Toyota World Runners YouTube channel and had amassed over 200,000 subscribers.
Nicole Marins had 3,200 followers on Instagram, where she also posted pictures of her friends and family. In her Instagram profile, she wrote about her passion for inspiring others, "I inspire women to become their best selves."
