Tim Bonnell Jr., author of Aircraft Insurance Fundamentals, has announced the release of its newest edition. According to Bonnell, the revised and expanded edition offers revised existing content for an accurate perspective on the ever-changing landscape of aircraft insurance. The new edition includes information on Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), and eVTOL aircraft.
New Video Series
The AOPA Air Safety Institute has launched a new video series called Taming the Twin, focusing on safely operating multi-engine aircraft. This series, made in collaboration with Sporty's Pilot Shop, is free for viewers and originates from Sporty's Pilot Shop's Multi-Engine Training Course, which covers the fundamentals of multi-engine flight.
Aircraft Deliveries
Cirrus Aircraft has delivered seven Cirrus TRAC20 G7 aircraft to Western Michigan University's College of Aviation. The delivery replaces the school's fleet of 28 Cirrus SR20s.
Expansions and Partnerships
CAVU has unveiled a new private terminal called Aether in the UK. The project, expected to open in late June 2024, includes a 20,000 ft.² hangar, 3,000 ft.² of office and shop space, a private parking lot, and covered entry. CAVU has also formed a partnership with BMW to provide transport from the terminal to designated gates.
Elfly Group, an electric seaplane developer, has moved to new facilities at Torp (Sandefjord) Airport in Southern Norway as part of its expansion. The facility is set to be fully operational in July 2024.
New Agreements
Bell Textron and Abu Dhabi Aviation have signed an agreement for Abu Dhabi Aviation to become an authorized Bell Customer Service Facility (CSF), providing services for Bell 212, Bell 412, and Subaru Bell 412EPX aircraft.
Veryon has signed a long-term agreement with Rolls-Royce Deutschland for its cloud-based software, Veryon Guided Troubleshooting, which allows users to monitor and maintain unscheduled maintenance operations. The agreement includes Guided Troubleshooting with Initial Symptom Profiles to cover engine models such as the BR710, BR725, Pearl 700, and Pearl 10X.
Innovations
The G7, manufactured by Cirrus Aircraft, now includes Cirrus Perspective Touch+ by Garmin, making it the first piston aircraft to employ the use of dual Garmin touch controllers, according to the company.
Clay Lacy Aviation has agreed to become an authorized dealer and installer for SpaceX's Starlink satellite-based internet, with plans to add multiple aircraft types to its availability later this year.
Financing Options
SkyShare has launched a financing program for fractional aircraft ownership plans, reducing the barrier to entry for private flight while still offering guaranteed availability on a three-year term. Skyservice has also launched a similar financing program.
Axis Aviation has launched its in-house dispatch service, bringing "total operational control" to its round-the-clock customer service and cost savings, according to the company.
Service Centre Appointments
Piper Aircraft has appointed Troyes Aviation as its approved service center in France. Troyes Aviation is a fully owned subsidiary of JGH SAS and the sister company of JG Aviation, France's authorized Pilatus Service Center.
Duncan Aviation has added drone repair services to its satellite location in Dallas, marking its first foray into repairs for commercial cargo drones for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).
C&L Aerospace has opened a new warehouse in Johannesburg, South Africa.

APPA Jet Center has announced a series of expansion projects at its FBO at Treasure Coast International Airport in Fort Pierce, Florida. The terminal offers personalized experiences for international passengers through limited-capacity reservations and is available seven days a week.
