Damage at Skate Park Oberasbach under investigation - seeking witnesses to come forward with information
In the early hours of Saturday, August 16, 2025, an act of vandalism occurred at the Oberasbach Skate Park in Fürth. The fire department was called to extinguish a fire that had been set during the incident.
According to police investigations, an unknown youth group, believed to be nine members strong, is suspected of causing the damage. The group set a wooden park bench alight, tearing it out of its anchorage, and also left several sprayed graffiti in the skate facility.
The graffiti included the number 43 and the word "Richtown," but the perpetrators remain unidentified. The damage caused is estimated by the city administration to be around €5,000.
A witness noticed a burning pile of rubble in the area of the skate park on Jahrstraße at around 09:30. It is believed that the youth group was present in the area before the incident.
