Canadian Poker Legend Daniel Negreanu Unveils Ambitious 2025 WSOP Schedule

At 50 years old, poker icon Daniel Negreanu shows no signs of slowing down as he prepares for one of his most ambitious World Series of Poker (WSOP) schedules to date, comprising 53 events in the upcoming series.

The WSOP 2025 is set to kick off on May 27 and will run until July 16, with the action taking place at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas casinos. A record-breaking 100 bracelet events are scheduled, and Negreanu is set to make a significant impact, particularly in the high-stakes games.

A notable addition to his schedule is the $5,000 Seniors High Roller, an event that drew a field of 680 entrants last year. Negreanu's participation in this event underscores his enduring passion for the game and his determination to secure that elusive eighth gold bracelet.

Last year, Negreanu triumphantly won the $50,000 Poker Players Championship, ending an 11-year bracelet drought. However, he is eager to break another dry spell - he has yet to post a profitable series since 2021, despite winning $1.1 million in a bracelet event.

Negreanu intends to dive headfirst into the series, starting with the $1,000 Mystery Millions tournament on the opening day. Remarkably, he anticipates taking only two days off throughout the series, with the first day of rest falling after 23 days of gameplay.

With the Player of the Year race always a significant factor, Negreanu might strive to compete in every event if he is seriously in contention. The schedule remains open to adjustments, but high-stakes tournaments are likely to remain a priority, while there are also numerous opportunities for lower-stakes games.

As for those eager to share a table with the poker legend, there are plenty of chances to do so outside the high-rolling tournaments.

GGPoker, Negreanu's sponsor, is also offering players the chance to qualify for the 2025 WSOP Main Event through their Road to Vegas promotion. More than 1,000 players will win a $12,000 package, which includes the Main Event buy-in, travel expenses, and accommodation.

"If you've ever dreamed of playing in the WSOP Main Event, GGPoker's Road to Vegas is your best shot at making that dream a reality," Negreanu stated.

Players can secure their spot by participating in direct buy-in tournaments or feeder satellites at reduced prices. GGPoker will additionally award an extra $1,000,000 to any GGPoker qualifier who emerges victorious in the Main Event.

For those who do not yet have an account but are interested in qualifying for the 2025 WSOP Main Event, they can use a special GGPoker bonus code provided by VIP-Grinders to gain exclusive benefits. Players can opt for a 100% first-time deposit bonus of up to $600 or a $50 free play bonus, with rakeback paid through the Fish Buffet program, reaching up to 60%.

Daniel Negreanu, the poker icon, has announced his participation in the $5,000 Seniors High Roller event at the WSOP 2025, showcasing his enduring passion for casino-and-gambling. Amidst his ambitious schedule, which includes over 100 bracelet events and high-stakes games, he plans to engage in sports-related activities as well, having an interest in a wide range of interests beyond just poker.
