Darmstadt Incident: Victim Subjected to Kicking, Biting, and Spitting

In the evening of Saturday, two separate incidents occurred in Darmstadt's Nieder-Ramstädter Straße area, involving two teenagers aged 15 and 17.

The first incident, which took place around 11:30 PM, saw a 17-year-old temporarily detained for attempting to evade transport to a psychiatric facility. The teenager was reported to have resisted the officers, repeatedly kicking at them during the detainment. The 17-year-old will also face charges of attempted assault and resisting arrest.

In the second incident, a 15-year-old was temporarily detained after fleeing from police, biting an officer, and spitting at another. The 15-year-old was taken to a psychiatric facility due to her mental state following the incident. The 15-year-old will also face charges of attempted assault and resisting arrest.

It is important to note that the two teenagers involved in the incidents did not know each other, and the events were unrelated. Both incidents were reported by the Hesse State Police Headquarters and transmitted via news aktuell.

The current head of the Hessian State Police Presidium (Hessisches Landespolizeipräsidium) is Björn Gutzeit, who moved to lead the Police Presidium West Hesse. Christian Vögele is set to take over as president of the Police Presidium Südhessen from October 7, 2025.

Despite the resistance shown by both teenagers, the officers remained unharmed in both incidents. It is a reminder of the challenges faced by law enforcement officers in maintaining public safety and upholding the law.
