Day Six Recap of OlyBet Showdown Vilnius Main Event: Edgaras Baranauskas Takes the Lead

The 2025 OlyBet Showdown Vilnius entered its sixth day with an action-packed schedule at Olympic Casino Lietuva. The Main Event, the festival's crown jewel, concluded its sixth opening flight, as 160 entries amassed, with 59 players securing a bag for Day 2. Late registration will remain open for the initial two levels of the day, commencing at 12 p.m.

Edgaras Baranauskas emerged as the chip leader after Day 1b, catapulting a 30,000 starting stack into a formidable 251,500, equivalent to 126 big blinds. Laurynas Černiauskas (242,000) and Mindaugas Kriaučiūnas (200,000) also advanced with impressive chip counts.

Out-of-town players Jarmo Salonen and Drea Karlsen from Finland and Norway, respectively, showcased strong performances, starting Day 2 with 125,000 chips each. Other significant Day 1a survivors who progressed to Day 2 with six-figure chips include Sigitas Raila, Rokas Skridulis, Rytis Pranarauskas, Arturs Daugis, and Edoardo Mancinelli.

The festival also featured side events, such as the €200 NLH OlyBet x Euroleague Premium Sponsorship, where basketball fans and poker enthusiasts mingled for an evening of camaraderie. In this event, Finland's Leevi Kangasluoma outlasted the opposition, including Lithuania's Aivaras Lukauskas, to secure the title and €4,451 prize.

Meanwhile, the €250 NLH Progressive Bounty saw Valerij Dobrinskij earning a trophy for the Lithuanian poker community, vanquishing Ernestas Stalemekas heads-up.

The tournament portion of the evening ended with cash games still underway, as is customary throughout the festival.

As the festival moves towards its conclusion, the Main Event will continue to be the centerpiece of the action. Day 2 is scheduled for Friday, offering players three additional opportunities to clinch trophies, with the €150 Sviten Special, the €350 NLH DeepStack Progressive Bounty, and the €200 NLH all scheduled for the day.
