Debris identified as drone parts recovered in northern Kuban region

On September 6, an incident involving the interception of drones occurred in the Krasnodar Krai region. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, they successfully intercepted and destroyed 34 aircraft-type drones.

The exact type of drones intercepted and destroyed was not specified by the Russian Ministry of Defense. However, fragments of an unmanned aerial vehicle were found in the village of Ilsky, North District, Krasnodar Krai. The Romanian Ministry of Defense has confirmed that these destroyed unmanned aerial vehicles were of the Geran type, a drone believed to be of Russian origin and previously used in attacks on Ukraine.

14 of the intercepted drones were reportedly over the Black Sea, while 3 were over the territory of Krasnodar Krai. Despite the interception, no fires, damage to infrastructure, or casualties were reported in connection with this incident.

In response to this event, the emergency and special services are working diligently at the scene. The situation in the impact areas is under control, with no unusual activity reported.

Residents are urged to remain calm and only trust official information. The Ukrainian authorities have not released any details about their response or actions regarding the interception of their drones.
