Defaced Army Billboards in Germany (No. 0595) - Vandalism reported on military advertisements in Germany

In the heart of Bremen, patrol units made a disturbing discovery over the weekend. Large-scale graffiti was found on the advertising boards of the German Armed Forces in at least seven locations, including Doventorsteinweg, Werftstraße, Bremerhavener Straße, Nordstraße, Gröpelinger Heerstraße, and Straße Vor dem Steintor.

The vandalism, which likely occurred during the night from Friday to Saturday, contained slogans in different colours. Two of the slogans read, "Only a dog goes to the army" and "Peace is red, revolutions end wars".

The Bremen Police are taking this matter seriously and have filed corresponding criminal charges. They are looking for witnesses and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

For those who wish to provide tips, the phone number is 0421 362-3888. For further inquiries, contact the Press Office of the Bremen Police at 0421 362-12114. The official website of the Bremen Police is www.polizei.bremen.de.

In addition, another contact point for inquiries is www.polizei-beratung.de. The perpetrators who likely damaged and spray-painted Bundeswehr advertising surfaces have not been publicly identified or specified in the available search results.

The Bremen Police would like to remind the public that vandalism is a serious offence and anyone with information is encouraged to help bring those responsible to justice. Peace, harmony, and respect for public property are values that the Bremen Police uphold and strive to maintain in the city.
