Demo version of the 1999 anthem "Me Inside" from Slipknot's debut album is now streaming, included in the band's 25th-anniversary reissue.

Slipknot, the influential nu metal band, is set to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their breakthrough debut album with a special reissue. The raw version of "Me Inside" will be included in the reissue, set to be released on September 5.

Leading the charge on this project is Slipknot's percussionist and co-founder, Shawn 'Clown' Crahan. Crahan has been holding onto various recordings and materials related to Slipknot's early days, including DAT tapes from their first shows and studio sessions.

The reissue will feature test mixes from the original album that were never released. These unreleased tracks are now being considered for the reissue, adding an exciting element for fans of the band.

A 6LP mega-bundle was made available for preorder in July and sold out instantly, indicating a high level of anticipation among fans. The reissue is available for preorder in both 2CD and 2LP packages.

The 2LP and 2CD editions of Slipknot's self-titled album will include an additional disc of demos and alternate mixes. One such demo is the recently released recording of the song "Me Inside."

In addition to the reissue, Slipknot has been teasing the release of a new single named "Long May You Die." As of publication, the single has not been released yet, but fans are eagerly waiting for its release.

Clown has been building up to the release of the long-delayed album Look Outside Your Window. Originally recorded during downtime in the sessions for 2008's All Hope Is Gone, the album has not been released as of now. However, the reissue might provide a sneak peek into the album's sound.

The producer responsible for the 25th anniversary re-release of Slipknot's album is Ross Robinson. Robinson, known for his work with bands like Korn and Limp Bizkit, is expected to bring a unique touch to the reissue.

Slipknot's self-titled album, released in 1999, quickly established them as a leading light of the nu metal movement. With this reissue, fans can relive the raw energy and excitement of the band's debut album, while also discovering previously unreleased tracks.

In January, Clown announced an early 2025 release date for Look Outside Your Window. While fans will have to wait a bit longer for the full album, the 25th-anniversary reissue of Slipknot's debut album promises to be a significant event for the band and their fans alike.
