Democrats present alleged Trump letter to Epstein
In a recent development, a mysterious birthday greeting from Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein, dating back over 20 years, has been made public by the Democrats. The document, which includes a silhouette of a female figure and a signature, has sparked debate due to its authenticity.
The alleged greeting card, part of an album containing birthday wishes for Epstein in 2003, was first reported by The Wall Street Journal. However, neither the album nor the original letter was published at the time. On Monday, the newspaper published a photo of the alleged letter.
Trump's spokeswoman, Karoline Leavitt, has denied the newspaper's reporting, stating that the claim Trump drew and signed the image is false. Trump himself has asserted that the letter is forged and not his language or words. He has also claimed that he does not draw pictures of women.
The controversy surrounding the document comes amidst a longstanding dispute over the handling of the Epstein case. Calls for the release of all documents related to the case have grown louder, with Trump facing pressure to disclose these documents. He had vigorously advocated for the disclosure of records during his campaign.
James Comer, Republican committee chairman, has published more documents related to the Epstein case, including Epstein's will, entries from his address books, and a birthday book compiled by Ghislaine Maxwell for Epstein's 50th birthday. Comer has criticized the Democrats for selectively choosing documents and politicizing information.
Trump has challenged the newspaper's original report with legal action, suing the newspaper and media mogul Rupert Murdoch. Leavitt has also threatened further legal action regarding the matter.
The alleged greeting card is not the only evidence of Trump's association with Epstein. Videos from several parties show Trump spending time with the disgraced financier. Epstein's death in 2019 sparked wild speculation due to his close connections to American high society.
The U.S. has yet to reach a consensus on the Epstein case, with the controversy surrounding the birthday greeting adding another layer to the ongoing dispute. As the investigation continues, the public waits to learn more about the relationship between Trump and Epstein, and the authenticity of the alleged birthday greeting.
