In the heart of Tbilisi, Georgia, a protest took place on Rustaveli Avenue. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that 16 individuals were detained during the demonstration for administrative offenses.

Law enforcement officers were deployed to maintain public order, and they repeatedly urged demonstrators not to obstruct traffic. Officers also warned the protest participants not to gather on the roadway.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs further stated that the protest was being monitored for potential further violations. In response to the arrests, the Ministry issued a warning that authorities will respond appropriately to any further violations, but did not specify what constitutes a further violation.

The Ministry's call and warning do not indicate any plans for the release of the detained individuals or any changes in the current status of the protest. They also do not mention any changes in the role of law enforcement officers at the protest or in the traffic management at the protest site.

However, the Ministry did call on protesters to express their views within legal limits, emphasising the importance of maintaining public order. The Ministry's warning suggests a continued presence of authorities at the protest site.

Despite the detentions, the protest on Rustaveli Avenue continues to be a topic of discussion and concern for the community and the authorities alike.
