Desperate mother in Prince George's County implores for the safe return of her 19-year-old daughter who has gone missing

The community of Langley Park, Maryland, has come together in a show of solidarity for the safe return of 19-year-old Dacara Thompson. On Sunday evening, a vigil was held at 1820 University Boulevard, up the block from where Thompson's car was found, attended by friends, family, neighbours, and strangers.
Thompson's car was discovered parked in front of a fire hydrant at Jasmine Terrace and Riggs Road, with her wallet and house keys still inside. However, her phone and car keys were not found. This discovery has raised concerns, but the Prince George's County Police Department has not confirmed whether foul play is suspected in Thompson's disappearance.
Thompson's parents, Carmen and unnamed father, have not been able to contact their daughter since she disappeared on Aug. 22. Carmen, speaking at the vigil, expressed her longing for her daughter's return and voiced her belief that Dacara may have been abducted due to the lack of activity on her phone, bank account, and social media.
Since Thompson's disappearance, concerned community members, including members of the Thompson family, have been canvassing the Langley Park area daily. No new information about Thompson's location has been disclosed, and no activity has been detected on her bank account, phone, or social media since her disappearance.
Thompson is the youngest of five siblings and had dreams of joining the Air Force. The Thompson family has provided a link for those who wish to support them in their search efforts.
