Diana, the revered Princess, breathed her last 28 years back.

On this solemn day, August 31st, we remember Princess Diana, often referred to as the 'People's Princess'. Twenty-eight years ago, her untimely death was a significant loss to the world.

Charles Spencer, Princess Diana's brother, acknowledged the occasion on his Instagram page, sharing two photographs depicting the location where Diana was laid to rest, the island of Althorp within the Spencer family's estate in Northamptonshire. The post included beautiful flowers from the gardens of Althorp on Lady Di's grave.

Many of Charles' followers left heartfelt messages of support and remembrance. One follower wrote, "You taught us that love never dies, it just changes form. You will always be in our hearts. You will always be the queen of our hearts." Another added, "Your light was too bright for this world. Now you shine in the place where you truly belong, among the stars."

The follower further mentioned, "Twenty-eight years later, your compassion still guides us like a gentle whisper in the wind."

Historian Aline Gallasch-Hall de Beuvink, in an interview with Notícias ao Minuto, highlighted Princess Diana's impact on the British royal family. She described Diana as a woman who revolutionized the monarchy, breaking traditional barriers and setting a new standard for royal engagement.

However, Gallasch-Hall de Beuvink noted that Diana cannot be compared to Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, stating that Meghan is a "deceitful climber".

Princess Diana's marriage to Charles, Prince of Wales, was a global fairy tale that was marred by scandal due to Charles' affair with Camilla. Since his father, John Spencer, passed away in 1992, Charles Spencer has been caring for the Althorp estate.

As we remember Princess Diana on this anniversary, her legacy continues to inspire and touch the lives of many. Her compassion, grace, and courage will forever be remembered.
