Discussion at InfoComm 2024 Focuses on 21:9 Content and Educational Strategies by Atlona

At InfoComm 2024, taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from June 8-14, Atlona is set to make a significant impact, particularly in the education vertical. Garth Lobban, the director of marketing at Atlona, expects the 21:9 aspect ratio to be a major topic at this year's event.

Atlona's focus on the education sector includes serving higher ed and K-12 customers. The company will showcase their support for USB-C signals alongside HDMI signals in the classroom, making their solutions more versatile and future-proof.

One of the products Atlona will demonstrate is the Atlona AT-VKP-8E keypad controller, designed for use in enhanced, modern classrooms and smaller meeting rooms. This intuitive keypad offers an e-paper display, eight buttons, RGB LED indicators, and a 16-LED strip for system audio level representation.

The 21:9 aspect ratio of the Atlona AT-VKP-8E allows for unique presentation layouts in meeting and learning spaces. This aspect ratio is also supported by Microsoft Teams Front Row layout, further enhancing its appeal for educational institutions.

The Atlona AT-VKP-8E keypad controller can control up to 10 devices in a room, including switchers, source devices, displays, and audio via IP and RS-232. This streamlined control eliminates the need for a separate control processor and panel-based system.

Atlona will also demonstrate remote inputs that better support collaboration in the classroom. Their booth staff, including sales engineers and product managers, will be on hand for better customer interaction and needs identification.

In addition, Atlona will demonstrate how their new CS31 Series of compact matrix switchers can acknowledge incoming emergency messages and mute other systems in the room. This feature is particularly important for ensuring a safe and efficient learning environment.

Atlona's teams from sales to engineering are focused on listening and better serving their customers at InfoComm 2024. This end-user focused approach is reflected in the changing attendance trends at the show, with fewer dealer and integrator representatives and more end-users attending, including decision makers and C-Level executives from the education and corporate verticals.

InfoComm 2024 attracts a growing number of end-users, making it the perfect platform for Atlona to showcase their innovative solutions. The company's Omega Series of collaboration products align well with the opportunities that 21:9 presentation brings, promising a more engaging and productive learning experience.

To further enhance the user experience, Atlona will demonstrate Atlona Cloud, an advanced cloud-based setup application. This application includes an extensive library of Atlona and third-party device drivers and a wealth of icons for each button, making setup and control even more intuitive.

At InfoComm 2024, Atlona will also demonstrate a demo illustrating the functionality of emergency messaging and simultaneous control of various systems in the room. This demo is a testament to Atlona's commitment to creating solutions that meet the evolving needs of modern classrooms and meeting spaces.
